Pathogenesis of staphylococcal diseases and vaccine development
The major research interest of Wang lab is in the pathogenesis of staphylococcal diseases and vaccine development. Currently, the lab is interested in the role of extracellular membrane vesicles produced by both Staphylococcus aureus and host cells. Our long-term goal is to understand how extracellular membrane vesicles and their cargo contribute to S. aureus-host interactions and to develop EVs as a vaccine platform or drug delivery system against bacterial infections.
