Exploring breast cancer pathways through mass spectrometry
The Lazar lab explores the molecular mechanisms of breast cancer cell cycle regulation by using mass spectrometry-based systems biology approaches. The lab investigates the pathways that enable cancer cells to bypass tightly regulated molecular checkpoints, proliferate, and metastasize, with the aim of identifying novel drug-targets. The lab also develops proteomics and microfluidic technologies for targeted detection of biomarkers.
